US Postal Service = LAME

So who knew Amazon liked to ship stuff using Parcel Post?!? Not I! I order this particular item on December 28th. I recieved the first part of my order on January 2nd, which came from Virgina. Both items were bought on Amazon FROM Amazon, not from a 3rd party on Amazon. I even had them ship items seperately so I would get things quicker. As I said, part 1 arrived via UPS and got to my door on the 2nd. The other item was shipped on the the 30th from Bell, CA (right here in Southern California). So instead of sending it as any normal person would they sent it parcel post. So my little package goes from Bell, CA to Kansas City, KS (on a truck that probably passed me on the freeway) then onto another truck (which also probably passed me on the freeway) back to where?...Bell, CA where it sits right now. Maybe,it will get to me in a few more day. Thank god I didn't really need this item. Fucking postal service is about to make me go postal.

You should submit this to Consumerist -- along with the tracking information once you finally get your shipment.

If this item was in fact sent parcel post (slowest service possible) by Amazon, then why are you complaining about the Postal Service?

Just because it was shipped from Amazon doesn't mean it wasn't shipped via USPS when the other item I ordered was shipped via UPS. Amazone should be consistent with their shipping.

Yes, parcel post is the slowest way to ship, but I was arguing the point of how stupid and inefficient the postal service was by sending my item (which originated ~20 miles from my home) to Kansas first and then back to Bell, CA (where it first entered the USPS system) then to my door. Talk about expending a lot of enegy and money to move a little camera lens from Bell, Ca to Sherman Oaks, CA.
