We Did It!

We Did It!, originally uploaded by Rick O!.

Yesterday Angela and I were married. It was a wonderful ceremony and a wonderful reception. We had a wonderful time with everyone. Thanks to all of you who were able to join us on our big day. My bride was absolutely beautiful (as you can see in this photo). I can't believe after a year of planning our big day has come and gone. It was a huge rush and a fantastic time. Thanks again to everyone who helped out in every way...Angela and I could not have done it without your help.

Bullet Holes and Bridal Suites

Bullet Holes and Bridal Suites, originally uploaded by Rick O!.

We checked into our bridal suite today for the big night on Saturday. We were checking out the view and noticed this little beauty...yep a bullet hole. God I love Albuquerque and Hotel Albuquerque.

I've Made It.

Front of House, originally uploaded by Rick O!.

After 11 hours and 50 minutes I arrived at the family house in New Mexico with my Mom and Sugar in tow. We left at 5:20 am and pulled into the drive way at 76 Raindance Road at about 5:10 pm (CA time). I topped off my tank 4 times and averaged 19.0 miles per gallon. How bad was the gas? Not as bad as I expected.

Barstow, CA: $4.57/gallon - just like in the OC, but did not fill up.
Needles, CA: $5.19/gallon (Mobile & Shell); but filled up at ARCO @ $4.89/gallon.
Flagstaff, AZ: $4.09/gallon
All of New Mexico seems to be set right now at $3.89/gallon...except for the Conoco at Acoma Pueblo, they were gouging I-40 travellers @ $4.09/gallon.

Anyway, it was a good trip. The deck extension is finished, the landscaping is looking good, and the house is in great shape.

My vows are written and the ceremony is finalized. This should be a good but busy week. Angela arrives into town tomorrow AM so I am looking forward to her arrival. In the mean time I have plenty of clothes that I need to wash.

The Coolest Thing I've Seen All Day..

As many of you know, I love TOOL, I mean, I really LOVE TOOL. I came across this pretty cool YouTube video put together by someone who is either smart, full of shit, read the Da Vinci Code one too many times, or just way into math and Tool and thought a lot about this.

Anyway, I know some of you out there are not really fans of Tool because of their weird time signatures and tempos or whatever (Mr. Zeeb), but maybe this video interpretation will help you understand the awesomeness of Tool. Or maybe not, whatever. At the very least, the Hubble Telescope imagery in the background is pretty nice to watch while the song plays out and the guy or girl who did this explains their thesis.

Watch the whole thing, it gets really good at the end. It is well worth 9.5 minutes of your life.
